[edit] Welcome!
Welcome to the new home of the .NET Framework Wikia. Hopefully, together we can nurture this wiki into one of, if not the, foremost authority on collaborative .NET thinking.
This is a dead-end wiki, please help by editing it.
[edit] Vision
As this is a completely community-driven project, one person cannot guide its sole direction. Since the .NET Wikia community is fresh, and currently has no direction (and possibly only one member at this time), I propose the following vision for this community.
[edit] Chronology
- Reasons for .NET (Why we use it.)
- Version Changes (What changed from 1.0 to 1.1 to 2.0. to 3.0)
- Past, Present, and Future Applied Uses (What it was, is, and will be used for.)
[edit] Languages
- Primary Languages (What they are and briefly how they differ.)
- Language vs. Framework (Why the framework is more important than the syntax.)
- Language List (A list of currently used or being developed .NET languages.)
[edit] Learning
- Beginner Guides (Instructions on getting started, and what means what.)
- Migration Manuals (Key migration notes from various code bases.)
