[edit] Broken uploads

Igot the uploads to work correctly. Actually, I should say that I found and fixed anerror in our config that shoud have broken uploads for some users. I can't say for sure that uploads are working, but feel very strongly that Ihave fixed the problem. Please let me know if you notice any more strangeness. -- Jasonr 21:30, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article Creation Assistance

Hello, Dlj. My name is Oliver a.k.a OzzyD. I would like to help you write and update your Naked Wiki. I have a fondness towards nudity in general, and especially streaking and skinny-dipping. I would like to share any information that you would like. Please, just specify the subject and the page. Also, if you should want it, I have quite an extensive library, almost like a personal blog on these eubjects, and will happily share any resources (that is pictures and videos) from these experiences that you may need. Just thought you'd like to know ^_^

Great Ozzy! Check out the subjects on the Nudity Portal on Wikipedia. Also, a lot of articles here need expansion if you don't want to start a new one. Dlj 22:55, 8 April 2007 (UTC) 16:40, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Exhibitionists wanted?

You really want an exhibitionist (streaker) to help you on this?

Hi, Please read the streaking article on Wikipedia before claiming that it is not non-sexual. Also, it would be helpful if your signed your edits on talk pages with four tildes in a row. Dlj 03:50, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

It could be non-sexual I guess but all the time it about not the experience of being nude but the experience of being seen nude. It is all about drawing attention to yourself and shocking others.

I don't believe it helps in developing the social acceptance of nudity that we want to achieve.

Any joy of being nude is secondary to the joy of shocking or offending people. It isn't streaking if one does it in an isolated place where there is no chance of meeting others. I am not sure, however if it is streaking when you do it in a place where there is a chance of meeting people but not a certainty of meeting people, such as some lightly traveled hiking trail or some quiet street late at night. There the excitement would be the anticipation of the possibility of being caught but if one isn't then there is a satisfaction of "getting away with something". Whereas in straight streaking ideally the person goes to a place where he or she is certain of being seen, often large spectator events.

[edit] Defining/Categorizing Events

The suggestion has been made to put some events like Burning Man in a different category because there is both non-sexualized and sexualized nudity going on. What do people think? Dlj 03:33, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

You said you were going to look into some type of color coding system for different categories of events?

Such as
  • One category for events sponsored by nudist groups.
  • One category for nonsexualized nudity events not officially sponsored by nudist groups but by individual nudists (such as nude movie night).
  • One category for nonsexualized nudity events sponsored by non nudists.
  • One category for public events where non sexualized nudity or topfree is traditional (eg Fremont parade, Oregon Country Fair)
  • One category where nuditification (unexpected nudity) will take place (World Naked Bike Ride).
  • One category where the public nudity will be done as a form of protest with the possibility of arrest.
  • One category for Burning man and like events where sexualized as well as non-sexualized nudity might take place.
  • One category for events where it has been reported that nonsexualized either partial (top free) or total nudity has taken place in the past (Events with no formalized nudity rule but in the past nudity has been sighted and tolerated).
  • One category for pagan events where nonsexualized skyclad rituals take place.
  • One category for art performances where nonsexualzed nudity will take place.

In December you wrote:

Briefly, these all look like good ideas. I think I have an idea of how to implement this without making the page look like cluttered chaos... give me some time here. 19:47, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Have you come-up with anything?

[edit] Portland Oregon Article Regading Nudity

I was just wondering if you have seen this article. Some of it has to do with sexualized nudity as they seem to mix the two but I wanted you to see it any way in case you want to put it up somewhere.

http://www.wweek.com/editorial/3331/9085/

Where do you think it should go? 24.18.156.95 23:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Didn't know. That is why I asked you if it is even appropriate for the Wiki. If you don't think it is then let's not add it.

[edit] Non Sexualized Events done by sexualized groups

Would the following event be appropriate for this wiki?

http://www.sexpositiveculture.org/events/zevent.2007-07-31.6969093183

The place itself is definitely sexual. The Yoga does mention enhancing their erotic energy through a practice of yoga. But would this yoga event in and of itself be sexualizied? My gut says that this is probably not appropriate for the wikia but I wanted to show it to you just in case you thought differently. If you do think it is appropriate please feel free to add it yourself.

[edit] August 2007 Strikouts

Why did you strikeout about half of the events that were listed to have occured in August 2007?

I don't recall doing that, do you still see events that are striked out? Do you see an edit in the history that you can show me were it was messed up? Perhaps it wasn't coded correctly with the markup Dlj 23:35, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] UNCLAD 2008

In years past at the Unclad Art Show they had one night where people could actually be nude as they view the art.

Do you know if they do that anymore or what the date of that event might be?

[edit] Northwest Herbal Fair Seems to be no more

I see that you restored the link to the Northwest Herbal Fair.

The only problem is that link doesn't seem to work.

I don't believe they have that event any more.

At least that isn't the link to the event.

Please remove or correct the link.

Thanks.
