Floyd was a male "Only" who was born on Miri's homeworld in the 1950s. Following the death of his parents from an artificial disease which resulted from a life prolongation complex, Floyd spent the next three-hundred-years living with the rest of the Onlies, the children who survived.
In 2266, Floyd entered puberty and contracted the disease which killed off all the "grups" and began acting insanely and dangerously. When the landing party from the USS Enterprise initially arrived on the planet, Floyd attacked the party and began ranting irrationally about a tricycle. Shortly after, Floyd died from the disease.
