Destiny Chukunyere is a Maltese singer who began her career in 2013. To date, she has released five singles.
She won the right to represent her home country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Not My Soul" and won it with 185 points, becoming the highest-scoring winner up to that point. She was the second winner from her home country, following Gaia Cauchi achieving the nation's first win two years earlier.
In 2017, she auditioned for the eleventh series of Britain's Got Talent where she performed the song "Think" by Aretha Franklin, receiving high praise from the judges and thus qualifying for the live shows. In the semi finals, she performed the song "R.E.S.P.E.C.T" but failed to qualify to the final.
The same year she auditioned for the second season of the national syndication of The X Factor, where she was mentored by the country's representative in the 2002 Contest and 2016 ContestIra Losco, and went on to win, earning to the chance to represent her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, with the song "All of My Love". However, the Contest was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
It was announced that she would return to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam with the song "Je me casse", which was seen as one of the favorites to win, even topping the bookies' odds at one stage. It topped the vote in the first semi-final, successfully qualifying for the final where it finished in 7th place with 255 points.
